Kruger Park Trees - Knobthorn Acacia

The Knobthorn Acacia (Acacia nigrescens), often just called the Knob Thorn, is a common tree in the Kruger National Park and part of the big 5 tree species. The Knob Thorn Acacia can grow upwards of lengths more than 15 meters and grows white spiky flowers on it between June and October in the Kruger. It is browsed upon by various species, but Giraffe and Elephant favour this tree.
