Kruger Park Mammals - Cape Pangolin (Scaly Anteater)
The Kruger National Park plays host to the beautiful and rare Cape Pangolin, which is also known as the Scaly Anteater. It's scientific name is Manis temminckii and the Pangolin can live up to 20 years.
Due to how vulnerable the Pangolin is and since poaching has increased in the Kruger National Park; whereby Pangolin are being hunted and poached illegally, no more information on this species will be shared or given away. Please note that the Pangolin DOES NOT HAVE ANY medicinal value. The shell/scales of a Pangolin are made up of the same materials Rhino horn is, keratin, which is the same material that makes up human finger and toe nails.
